Happy Valentine's Day, all!

What are some of your Valentine's Day traditions? For me and my family, it's eating pink or red food (red velvet cake, yum!), as well as giving small gifts and/or cards. With Valentine's Day being on a Wednesday this year, I  also have school (yay!), so I got to talk to some of my classmates about the holiday as well. It's very interesting to learn about other's perspectives on holidays.

Crochet for Charity

Crocheting is awesome, right? Well, you know what makes it even more awesome (or is it awesome-er?)? If you can know that you're helping someone out while doing something that you love. There are a ton of great charities that you can crochet and knit things for. Here are a few places to get you started: Knots of Love . Knots of Love is a charity that asks Knitters and Knotters (crocheters) to knit/crochet hats for toddlers, kids, and adults who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy. Hat knitting not your thing? That's fine! You can also knit/crochet blankets, scarves, and more. Just make sure that the yarn you're using is one of the yarns on this list here . Feel Better Friends . The FBF doll organization is for crocheters only (sorry knitters!). Crocheted Birthday Present Ideas

Winter birthdays. My mom, my sister, and my Grandpa were all born in the winter. So were a few of my friends, as well as teachers and other people whom I somehow know. With all of those birthdays, I need a lot  of present ideas. Since I love to crochet, my goal is to create a crocheted birthday gift for every person I know, when their birthday rolls around. That's probably not the best  idea that I've ever had - I'm assuming that it's going to be pretty time-consuming - but I think that it will also be a lot of fun.
